I’ve read theories on Bloomberg that range from him being a brain dead “progressive” knee jerk moron to him being a fearful coward going along to get along (in the spirit of appeasing Islamism in order to stave off another attack) to the idea that he intentionally brings this sacrilege into his city.

I’m inclined to go with some combination of 1 and 2.

As a multi million/billionaire (whatever) himself, I’m less inclined to believe in the payoff angle.
