They hate us because they want to be us. They think our freedom and largess is wasted on lumpen that don’t “appreciate” what they have (and probably most true of the liberal elite, who suffer no inconvenience themselves). They argue about our imperialism (while they practice it). And they scream blood libels about our “racism” and “intolerances” while they refine theirs.
