Look, we’re at 9.5% unemployment, or double that, depending on how you manipulate the statistics. OF COURSE the gov’t had to allow the lemonade stand to operate. You said it yourself, Frank: Jobs! There will be Jobs! for the accountant and lawyer and the paper-pushers. The little girl will have to sell overpriced lemonade 24 hours a day to pay the taxes and salaries, and will soon have too little to purchase supplies and will go out of business, leaving those workers without Jobs! but hey, that’s somebody else’s problem, right?
