I imagine some feminist supporters of Hillary will vote for Mccain despite his supposedly poor record on women’s right because (1) They still like some of Mccain’s other policies (2) they grudgingly admit Mccain is the lesser evil (3) out of spite to teach the “sexist” Democrat party a lesson (4) they feel like “race” trumped their cause, which is “gender”. Harriet Christian (I think) made a point to whine about how Clinton was sold out for an “inadequate black male”
After the anger fades away though, most of them will probably vote Obama in the end. But 10-15% (the ones who are especially bitter) will indeed cross party lines. Maybe if Mccain chose a woman VP he can attract just a bit more.
