I can answer your question, what is she if she isn’t racist? When she wrote that thesis, she was insecure. Now that she is successful, she’s guilty. That is not a response unique to black children who surpass their parents and peers socially and economically. High-achieving white kids of uneducated parents, too, feel pressure not to get too high and mighty or to forget their roots.
