Its pretty simple. Even if you can somehow delude yourself into discounting and explaining away Obama’s…ahem…radical associates and fellow travelers, the fact remains that the man is not ready to be President. He has not had enough experiences, successes, and yes losses to understand what it means, and handle what it is, to be the Chief Executive Officer and Commander in Chief of a country simultaneously as great, diverse, rich, poor, terrible, and powerful as the United States was, is, and will be. Disagree with Hillary’s and McCain’s positions on this or that if you will, at least they are, for the most part, ready; at least as ready as a Senator can ever be, taking into consideration that Senators have not generally made great Presidents.
Someday Obama may be ready to be a great President. But not today. Nor tomorrow.
