I would agree except for the fact that voters really never have a choice as to who to vote for for mayor. Republicans never run anyone against daley and the few democrats that run against him are actually worse than him, i.e. reverend Meeks. In a city of almost 3 million, Daley got a little over 400,000 votes in the last election. His nearest opponent had 20,000. Many people don’t even bother to vote. When your choice is vote for daley or don’t vote…does it really even matter?
