Personally, I find the willingness of so many commenters to vilify me as an ignorant, uneducated person unfamiliar with life as a racial minority to be terribly amusing.

As someone who was born half-Native American and half-Iranian, but whose appearance has led others to classify her as white throughout her life, I find the claims that I don’t “get” the minority experience to be specious. And you want education? Fine, I’ll match my law degree, my ABT Masters and my doctorate-in-progress (along with my twin B.A.’s and 9 minors) against whatever you want to bring on.
But as to those of you who suggest that my reluctance to vote for Obama means I must be siding with McCain, let me just say: I’m an Equal Opportunity Bitch.
Lay off with the death threats. It’s an opinion people. And while mine was well researched and documented, the majority of the “Hate Kate” responses, well, my kids could come up with something more informed.
