Heh heh, I am a bad influence.
I don’t point out spelling errors as I am overly prone to them myself. lol
You don’t want people to paint nations with a broad brush, but you turn around and do the same thing? I won’t defend folks that take part in such behavior and I agree with you that one cannot judge a nation based upon the comments and actions of a few, so I’m confused as to why you would then do such a thing.
As for the self defense issue – it is my understanding that people are expected to retreat in the face of a threat and only act aggressively against an assailant if escape is not possible or if the life of someone else is in danger. -Self defense laws in the States can vary, but generally, people are not expected or required to retreat, they can stand their ground and fight, even if it over something as simple as a camera or wallet. They are within their rights to do so. This difference is what I was referring to in my first comment post. Please correct me if I am wrong. I am more than happy to admit any error.
As for the overall point of you article – I agree wholeheartedly. Going to the “no-go” areas is an important way to combat the establishment of such areas. I like your article a great deal and it reflects a tough spirit that I admire.
