White people are so much more numerous and, more worringly, THEY ARE EVERYWHERE I GO. If *I* get done-in the probability (about 90%) is that it’ll be another white person that pulls the trigger.
Roy M — Probability is trickier than it seems and often at odds with one’s gut sense, as your post demonstrates.
According to the 2005 statistics I cited, your odds of being murdered by a white stranger are 70%. Whites comprise 74% of the population so this in the ballpark of what one would expect.
However, your odds of being murdered by a black stranger are a shocking 28.7%, even though blacks comprise only 12.2% of the US population. That’s so high, it’s statistically significant…and tragic.
