Emigrating Britons can be a mixed blessing. After WWII many left the UK for Canada where they became known as the”Over ‘Omes” because they were always rhapsodizing how wonderful things were over ‘ome. When asked why they didn’t return to the UK, the response was”are you crazy?” Keep the Brits over ‘ome.
