Does the Obama Campaign Foreshadow His Presidency?

This blog raises many important points, but the fact is many Democrats do not care about these legitimate hypocrisies and inconsistencies. Obama is another “teflon” candidate, and it amazes me, as a Democrat myself, that people defend him much like loyal Republican supporters of Bush, even when there is no point and it makes you look foolish. I mean you can be a part of your party, and still critical of your candidate. This worries me. Obama, for example, is clearly acting like a hypocrite when he suggests that he won’t take public financing. He was celebrated for his support on this before, but now he is backtracking because of all the money he raised, and Democrats see this as as his “will to win” and “stupid” if he backs away from his fundraising prowess. My own party reminds me that it’s whatever it takes to win, and sure, Republicans do the same thing, but wasn’t Obama offering something “different,” even though no one, not even Obama himself can explain what actually means. It’s just not my version of a candidate I would truly like to support.
