Hi Mary Jackson – I did not mean offense, I did not claim to “know all about the UK” – in fact, I even stated I hoped I was wrong, but that I based my thinking on what I had learned from news reports and from almost daily conversations with my English friends.
Insult me and “typical” Americans if you like, but know this – I have no animosity toward you or the UK. I posted the comment because I have great affection for the UK and its people and I am worried about the direction things seem to be moving. The world is better because the UK exists and I for one would like to continue receiving that benefit.
