When Katherine or any other white woman can walk in a black woman’s shoes, and experience what we face in this society, then you may have something valid to say. Until then, try to get a clue and understand that you don’t share our experiences. I am thrilled that we are in a place that we can actually see a black man represent a major political party and that speaks volumes compared to our shameful history. Having said that, it doesn’t mean that we still don’t face daily discrimination and are ever combating stereotypes from people who simply don’t know for whatever reasons. I say that you don’t understand the contexts of Michelle’s statements not having the least bit of knowledge of her life experience so it is near impossible for you to see them from her perspective. No she is not racist. Neither am I —— an ultra conservative card carrying Republican BLACK American woman!
