The Democrats are acting in full knowledge of the effects of their policies. Like all socialists they seek to reduce the standard of living and increase dependency on the Government. The only difference between the Democrats and kleptocrats like Mugabe and Chavez is a matter of degree and the limitations imposed by the US Constitution.
Based on the experienced gained in the Chicago political scene a President Obama will push the corruption envelope and begin the same kind of rape of the American economy that you see in third world kleptocracies.
