Considering folks in the UK have little right to self defense – going into “no-go” areas may be doubly dangerous.
You may go to jail if you are assaulted and attempt to defend yourself. I can see the courts showing no sympathy for the victim, claiming he was trying to be provocative by going into such an area.
I hope I’m wrong about such things, but such a scenario seems plausible based upon what I have learned from the news and from my English friends.
