That analysis of murder statistics, explained by Ger (thanks) is just a meaningless number salad.
Why do I say that?
Well, using your method of analysis red-haired people kill normal people at a rate 32x the rate that normal people kill Gingers. “That sounds like racism to me!”
An individual randomly chosen white person IS less likely to murder someone than a black person, but so what? White people are so much more numerous and, more worringly, THEY ARE EVERYWHERE I GO. If *I* get done-in the probability (about 90%) is that it’ll be another white person that pulls the trigger. When that day comes at least I’ll be able to say ‘Look, see, another white person did it. Told you so.’ before the lights go out.
If it is a black person who kills me I will be really annoyed, I mean ABSOLUTELY LIVID “Doesn’t he realise I was in my colleges anti-racism society” will be my dying words. Maybe I should protect myself by telling every black man I encounter that “I was in my colleges anti-racism society – bro, repsect”.
Anyway.
Here is a nicer dubious statistic for you. When you meet a person of a different race they are (roughly) 75 times more likely to marry you than they are to kill you. In my case its even higher “I was in my colleges anti-racism society – sista, repsect”.
