The specifics of Obama and his wife are less important than having the Democrats in control of the House, Senate, and White House. I don’t think any of you have started to think about the consequences. Look anywhere in the country where there is single party rule and you will find corruption. Chicago is an example. Clinton was singularly corrupt but had a Republican Congress that pulled him to the center. If the Democrats win everything then there is nothing to pull them to the center. This is the worst time for this to happen since we are heading into the biggest credit contraction since the last Great Depression which was caused by Hoover and Roosevelt that both upped taxes again and again which turned a recession into a depression. It may already be a fait accompli. Congress is already pushing windfall tax legislation against the US oil industry. Only Congress would answer the country’s need for more oil and gas by legislation to reduce oil and gas and further drive up energy costs. Congress is already taking about tax increases of nearly one trillion a year for ten years. I follow the markets in commodities, currencies, credit, housing, and equities, and you should be afraid. Everything I read coming out of Congress and the two parties shows abject ignorance of the markets. The government will drive the economy into a Hyper Inflationary Depression. I guess then all you partisans will be happy.
