Hey C’mon….I want to mention the Vietnamese Boat people. The boat people came over with nothing. Zero. They took whatever menial jobs they could get and their kids worked like slaves to get an education. They didn’t sit around and collect welfare, they wanted to work and work hard. They lived in dumpy, crime-ridden neighborhoods because that was what they could afford and they received the same education available to anyone else in this country. And they have succeeded in spite of racism, not speaking the language and a litany of other challenges. Why can’t everyone else do this? Did I miss something here or did they succeed in spite of “White Oppression”?
Not everyone gets the same opportunity or “fairness” in life, whatever that is. It’s up to the individual and the community they belong to to do something about their own situation, not wait for someone else to “make it right”. Quit complaining.
