Is it not the Europeans who have been loudest in denouncing the detentions at Gitmo?
I have often thought that we should hold military tribunals for those prisoners whose crimes are clear and prosecutable and then send the rest to Europe.
Of course, as Rosenthal points out, the stupid irony is that some will be going “home,” more or less, back to the very scene of their crime-plotting.
The Europeans are suicidal fools, but we are doing our best to keep pace with their decadence.
