that surprises you because you’re making the common mistake of innacurate perspective. So, let’s see if i can deliver it: when Obama makes big mistakes that could ruin our country, do we unite against him? Of course not. Yes, it’s easy to look back (hindsight), but when you’re IN THE MOMENT, it’s different. That SHOULD be obvious, but the very basic concept of humanity dictates that when you’re close to it, you can’t see it: history is only made by hindsight, and thus our commentary on it benefits with the gift of time and a lack of consequence. If we were there, though, we’d do the exact same thing. We haven’t evolved – look around the globe for proof if you doubt it. Therefore, we are our past still.

We follow our leader because he’s our leader. And he’s our leader, because we follow. When our leader does something wrong, we may not agree, but we also don’t rise up as one and kill him. Think about it.
