From this day on , No Canadian will be able to criticise the US…and not seem a total hypocrite
The Canadians have just taken a gigantic hobnailed boot and stamped upon the freedom of speech and t6hought.
I find it incredibly a revelation that those who revile the US and sneer at her…will now wish they were US citizens..for only the US has enshrined in their Constitution the freedom that Steyne and so many others like him will now lose.
Canada has always had this “moral superiority” complex..well today, Canada didn’t lose the “moral high ground”….they spat on it and thew it away for the sake of moral equivalence and political correctness.
Damn them and their nanny state censorship to hell.
The US will welcome Mark Steyne, should be wish to emigrate, and he and others will be able to breathe free and speak their minds.
Canada is no longer a democracy, and its people are no longer free. When even one voice is silenced by those who wish to stifle dissent, the very principles that Canada claims to espouse have been betrayed..and its people no longer citizens..but subjects.
Canada is now a nation I will never visit. I value my freedom..and will not set foot in a nation that has forsaken the basic human rights in the name of appeasement and dhimmitude.
