Carol, IF you truly believe that Yigal Amir was the worst of the worst, and that IF not for him Oslo would have ushered in ‘peace’ in the Middle East, then I guess living in jolly old Britain has had its intended effect on your sensibilities.
How is it possible, that AFTER so many dead Jews wrought by Oslo that you point to Amir as the worst of the worst? Is it because the assasination of a national leader is the only measure of peace or no peace? Further, what about the proven ! inconsistencies between Amir as the fall guy, instead of the shooter, and who exactly was behind this assasination? After all, Amir was part of the Shabak, akin to the US FBI.Curiouser and curiouser….
Besides, Oslo was NEVER meant to usher in peace, it was meant to give Israel enough room to hang itself, giving up its heartland and eternal Capital in the process. Moreover, Husseni(a relative of the notorious Mufti of Jerusalem, Hitler’s Muslim collaborator) was one of the first who let the cat out of the bag about Oslo. He infamously noted, (and I paraphrase)that Arafat was busy hoodwinking the peace obsessed west (with Israel’s hallucinatory, corrupt leftists in tow) while the PLO/PA/Fatah etc were busy sowing the seeds for a violent overthrow of Israel.Peace, I think not.
Carol, it would behoove you to bone up on Oslo, rather than opining about a ‘peace’ which was ruined by Amir. Perhaps you also believe that Sharon’s visit to the Mount was also Israel’s fault, and NOT pre-engineered by Arafat?
