You sure that “native” wasn’t a tourist confirming his flight home to Los Angeles?
I can imagine him in the airport there.
Last time I was home (L.A.) and at the airport, I saw a woman riding a pink Vespa, wearing pink cowboy boots, a pink cowboy hat and pink mini cowgirl outfit. No pink cellphone though.
It was a very long time ago. I haven’t been home since.
