It’s our “nice easy-going” character that has been played by some pretty radical zealots and axe grinders, Doug. We are “nice”…too nice…nice to a fault…and it has been our downfall.
We (Canadians) have really been far too polite and accommodating to extremist zealots, disruptive activists, fallible ideologues and perpetually angry axe grinders who push some really bad ideas onto the political agenda.
As a result of our polite defferal to ideologically errant zealots driving social engineering agendas, Canada’s post war fate has been as a political laboratory for dangerous experiments gone horribly wrong.
Within each dogmatic HRC defender beats the heart of a Stalinist speech code commissar.
