I have had MS for 32 known years but believe it has been more like 37 years. I went to Costa Rica in November and no time did anyone tell me it was a cure. They tell you this right upfront, so I went with my eyes wide open. Before I went I was unable to get out of a chair without help. I couldn’t stand long enough to brush my teeth and had trouble taking two steps. I am in a doucumentry for ICM showing that after having the stem cell treatment, I could stand up not just once but 10 times in a row. I have film of me in my apartment that I stayed in for treatment, walking behind the wheelchair. Am I completely cured no, but I am able to walk only using someones arm as balance or with a cane. I am still not able to walk as far as I want yet but it will come about Do I think I need another treatment, yes I do. There are a lot of nerves that have been damaged and need help to grow. If I wouldn’t have been able to go to CR to at least see what they had to offer, I’d still be sitting here wondering, “what if?” I firmly believe in the power of stem cell medicine.
