One of the most disgusting practices of embryonic stem cell research is the concept of the “chimera” in which human embryos are mixed with animal components and allowed to develop for a couple of weeks. These half-man/half-animals are an abomination. Unfortunately the NIH would rather support these experiments instead of supporting ongoing clinical trials that use adult stem cells to help patients today in the United States.
