Steve, Islamism isn’t a danger just to non-Moslems but to the majority of Moslems themselves, who just want to get on with their lives and go to mosques instead of to churches and synagogues.
Nobody will do this, but we need legislation forbidding the teaching of certain things:
the superiority of one’s own faith over other people’s;
the idea that your religion is the only way to God;
the idea that it is legitimate to kill or do violence to promote one’s faith;
the idea that you have special entitlements over those of others;
the idea that you are obliged by God to have children;
the idea that there is a difference in the role and status and entitlements of women and men, other than the obvious fact of child-bearing and its aftermath.
I dare say more could be added. It would mean disestablishing the Church for a start, which would be a great step forward.
