Demographics. We have 60+ million people. About 2 million are Moslem. Another 2 million are Hindus, Sikhs, Budhists etc. The Moslems are not a monolithic bloc, they are divided by race, nationality and religion. Shia & Sunni are divided by hatred we Christians can no longer imagine. The non-Moslem foreigners are all locked in combat with the Moslems in their home countries. These culturally enriched foreigners (new buzzword) are having more children now; but will their children and grandchildren? Who knows. No Mark Steyn for sure. In England we are now on a cultural and social roller coaster. We weren’t asked of course and we don’t know how it will turn out. Perhaps it will be OK – after all the English State has existed for about 1200 years now.
