Somehow I think the bureaucratic mentality will prevail in the Commission’s decision. They don’t want the Court system to revoke their power at all costs, but they don’t to lose their 100% convection record.
They will find MacLeans and Steyn guilty, but not apply any penalty or future strictures. They will announce they will keep an eye on future articles and reserve the option to prosecute if there are future transgressions.
In the US a guilty finding is appealable no matter what. I don’t know Canadian law, but I do know bureaucracies. Time to stop this nonsense.
