As a resident of the US I don’t know the intracies of Canadian law as it relates to these tribunals. However, the thought occured to me that has me pondering solutions to this quagmire.

Query: What if everyone just disregarded the history and findings of these commissions?

What if thousands of people uttered, by voice or print, the sentiments sure to spark complaints? On a whole range of issues?

In other words, what if the tribunals were overwhelmed with complaints?

Would this form of civil disobedience sack the tribunals under the weight of their own rules, i.e., administrative intake and processing, investigations, assignment of counsels to complainants, selecting hearing officers, scheduling hearings, etc?

Both Gahndi and Rev. Martin Luther King both calculated that the sheer numbers of protesters would swamp the authorities and render attempts to stifle their actions null.

Would that work north of the border?
