If a country stockpiles uranium hexafloride they are in the process of making a uranium bomb. The Iranians are separating U235 from U238. U235 is a fissile form of uranium. They can make several copies of the Fat Man that was dropped on Hiroshima and they can deliver it by ship or by terrorists. We are trying to figure out a way to stop the illicit importation of fissile materials but it is hard problem. I am sure that Obama will cut the R&D for that project (I am not involved with it).
