Hmm. Looks like America is really two nations, despite e pluribus unum. One nation votes “Democratic” for examples of probity and competence, beginning with the Kennedys, through LB Johnson, James E Carter. W.J.Clinton, Barack Obama and the wannabees John Kerry, John Edwards and Hillary Clinton. All honourable, credible persons , “who cannot tell a lie” with the “good of the people” as their intention. Who instituted a “war on poverty” at just about the same time, AND in the same Presidential Administration as the Vietnam War. Odd that they are LOSING the “war on poverty”. Their “war” for more than a half century, yet there are still a vast number of “poor people” who seem to vote “Democrat”.This “Democratic” Party also advertises itself as the “anti-war” Party. The “Peace” Party. Odd again that of all the wars fought by Americans in the 20th century ALL except the first Iraq War were initiated, engineered, developed and executed by Democratic Presidents, representing the “Peace” Party.
And the other nation who vote “Republican”.With Richard M. Nixon, the villain of villains for the “Democrats” with their historians in the academies, the publishing houses, establishment and entertainment Media for the history and myths of 20th century. They don’t show that this “Republican” President, who when trying to end the Vietman War, the creation of the Democrats, with a victory for the US was thwarted by a hostile Congress urged, aided and abetted by establishment,print and TV, and entertainment, Media; ORGANISED street and campus protests worldwide in the West, and “intellectuals and writers” all of the “Left” who made no secret of their preference for Marxism/ Leninism as THE political good. AND their contempt for Americans, her history, her ethos, the principles of freedom for the common man from obeisance to aristocrats, “elites”, and arbitrary power. And so BEGAN the CONTINUOUS lies, and the trashing of America and her military to this date. The upshot of this “crusade” this Republican President “carried the can” for the Vietnam War, and became the villain to counter the myth of the “Democratic” Camelot. After which there were Republican Presidents Gerald Ford, Ronald Reagan and George H and George W. Bush. Against whom the “Democrats” tried their old tricks. Even with the latter Bush trying a replay of Watergate. These presidents do not however promise to take care of all the problems of living, and receive votes only from persons who understand the American ethos,and respect THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, that supports the true dignity of man in Independence.
Just for fun, why not compare the probity and credibility of these Republicans — even their villain Nixon — with the named “Democrats” , and if you like include others, e.g. the present Attorney General of Connecticut.
