Obama’s “hermetically sealed worldview” (love that line!) can be seen in several examples, some of which are entirely PERSONAL:
One, the biggest glaring example is his lack of going to Iraq in the past 2.5 years! That, and his lack of communication with Gen. David Petraeus is more than just a little telling…it’s almost scandalous! (Contrast that with McCain who has been there 8 times…3 since the surge began, alone.)
Second, his “hermetically sealed worldview” shows up in his personal life:
-self-identifying with his FATHER’s family and race, and denying his own white heritage, as seen so well in his book “Dreams of My Father”.
-20 years in a church filled with anti-American rhetoric (“That’s not the Rev. Wright I knew…”)
-17 years involved with convicted slumlord “Tony” Rezko (“this isn’t the Tony Rezko I knew.”)
-13 years relationship with William Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn, the unrepetant TERRRORIST bombers, at who’s home Obama had his political coming out party in 1995.
So it goes that, if Obama finds it POLITICALLY EXPEDIENT, he will KEEP relationships you and I would find troubling (not wanting “facts” to confuse the motive involved) and NOT KEEP relationships or not go to places that might conflict with his worldview.
Actually, as far as his thin resume and life experiences can attest to…his WHOLE “hermetically sealed worldview” has been nothing BUT an ambitious quest to become President! Certainly, he has fostered his own self-identity to include those things which are an advantage in the political arena, and discarded the “baggage” that he feels was of no use or an actual DISADVANTAGE in the Chicago area he chose to arise from. And, give him credit! It has worked marvelously for a state senate seat, a Senate seat from Illinois, and now the Democratic nomination…….but as a PRESIDENT????
NO, not a chance, no thank-you!
