This article is actually quite accurate for Northern Virginia. Too many people here just act like it’s their God-given right to “have it all.” They want their big SUV, but God forbid they actually have to pay $100/week to fill it up with gas. They want their convenience, but don’t want to pay for it in higher costs.
The reason we have the Social Security and Medicare crisis is because of the fact that many Americans act like retirement and subsidizing their healthcare costs is someone else’s duty. If you can’t do what you want on your own resources, then you have to adjust your life.
