Where is Richard Hofstadter when you truly need him? Postmodernism underpins Barack “Barry” Obama’s movement. Facts are of little value. The ideology promoting “change” is all that matters. Obama is probably the most anti-intellectual major presidential candidate in the last hundred years. Nobody else comes close. It is also very fair to compare the followers of Obama to fascists. One is supposed to possess near blind faith in the great leader.
It should also be noted that George W. Bush reads countless reports every morning of his life. He doesn’t need to read newspapers because his staff puts together the really important stuff in his morning briefings. Few people have hundreds, if not thousands of advisors, at their beck and call.
