I am not an Iranian but an immigrant to America (now a citizen) whose original home country is also being occupied by a brutal human rights violating regime. As much as I despise that regime, I would never advocate a neocon Iraq criminal style invasion to “liberate” the people. This sort of short term thinking is the hallmark of the incompetence that has become known as the Bush doctrine.

Anyway, the author has a poor understanding of history when she tries to weave the international support for the freedom fighters in South Africa to this brand of neocon ideology. It was Dick “So, who cares what they think” Cheney, right wing Americans, and especially Israel, who supported the racist murderous apartheid government of South Africa while folks like a young Senator Obama (read his book)advocated for liberation

Get a clue and take a lesson from the Senator- Change happens from the bottom up.
