I will follow up my criticism of Mrs. Clinton with this: when she is on top of her game she is unbeatable. Her problem was she followed the advice of people who obviously didn’t know her real talents. Bill Clinton was merely the husband who wanted to do everything he could to get her elected. His heart was in the right spot (unfortunately, his mouth wasn’t). I read an article she wrote on the Children’s Defense Fund. It was inspiring, hopeful, and heartfelt. Had I not voted the week before, this would have turned my vote to her. She needed to do more of these things. How sadly ironic that she bowed out, giving the best speech I have ever heard.

I am also not part of the electorate that wants to see the Clintons burn. A sign of Obama’s leadership skills is to pick the most qualified people and to coalesce his team around that person. Obama has already given her props, and an interesting thing I picked up on his acceptance speech–when he mentioned her by her full name he put pointed emphasis on Rodham and not Clinton. Which is how he needs to sell her as VP. If he can sell her as a change candidate and a pioneer (both of which she is)–I don’t see any reason whey they can’t work together.
