I’m surprised that some people still support bush when as commander in chief HE could have PARDONED these men and put a STOP to this nonsense right from the start. Supporting the war and supporting the troops does not mean one has to support bush. He has shown nothing but cowardice. He’s afraid of the media, he’s afraid of “world opinion”, and he’s afraid of his political opposition. Looking back in history one will see that all of those entities were dealt with very severly by previous presidents during wartime. Insead of doing what was right, what a man would do, he threw our truly noble men under the bus. Instead of fighting to win this war he was more afraid of what the enemy would think. Our men had to die instead of carpet bombing Fallujah. Our men had to die instead of attacking mosques used as refuge by al-qaeda, our men have to hesitate in a firefight and die because he’s letting the lawyers, politicians and media second guess them. Bush throws men into battle and then lets our internal enemies hit them from behind as they face the enemy fire. A real commander in chief does not do this. He can have all the conversations with god he wants, all the “oprah” moments with purple fingererd Iraqis hugging the parents of slain US soldiers, all the terful crying sob sessions he wants. None of this fools me, nor god, nor himself. He has betrayed these men and the armed forces as a whole. He may be a republican but he does not redefine for me wahat a conservative is. By my definition he is a cowardly, sniveling liberal who at his core is nothing but a man completley conquered and feminized by his wife.
