The analogy is a good one from the viewpoint of the Hillary supporter that was kick to the curb for the younger Obama supporter but I don’t think the DNC sees Obama as a trophy wife per se; he’s more like a bug catcher that glows and blinds bugs so that they gravitate to the light and sucked in.
Healing America worked for the White-Guilt Liberals. Yes We Can drew in the Blacks. Hope and Change seduced the Young First-Timers.
I think the DNC has a much greater long-term plan in mind that includes a permanent Democratic voting majority and an 8 year stint in the WH that will present them with all kinds of opportunities with control of both the WH and Congress to put more entitlements into effect to solidify that permanent majority.
Obama does not have a clue about virtually everything. How many examples have there been to demonstrate that his Hope and Change is just a mantra and none of his ideas have actually gone beyond the slogan stage? The DNC elites (not exclusive to just the politicos) would have little influence over a President Hillary compared to a President Obama.
