Presenting Islamophobia as racial discrimination is wrong. Islam is a religion, and religion is a lifestyle choice in almost every country in the world. You CHOOSE to be Christian, Buddhist, Muslim, etc. That is a concious decision made by grown adults at some point in their lives, and if we can’t judge people by the decisions they make, then what the hell can we judge them on.

Keep it up Mr. Bawer. Your books are fascinating, educational, and most important, scary. Hope fully scary enough to have an effect on Europeans, and to have it be a lesson to Americans to not take this path of rampant political correctness.
