I don’t blame Obama for the explosion even though MMS didn’t do proper inspections of the Deep Water Horizon. His inability to contain the spill is where his fecklessness is exposed. His Coast Guard and FEMA can’t accept cleaning equipment and skimmers from the Dutch because he won’t waive federal law as Bush did. A Maine company, Pakgen, diverts production to make excess boom and tells Obama and the Coast Guard they have it ready to go. The government never contacts the company. A damn google search would have revealed their manufacturing capability. Governor Jindal asks to build sand berms as barriers. It takes the AC of E 6 weeks to finally say yes. Obama could have had yes out of his mouth in less than a week if he had any real leadership skills.

This guy has all the characteristics of a one term executive. The big question is will the country survive without huge further damage before he is out?
