No one believes that government funding could possibly corrupt the “scientists’” objectivity. Just as no one can conceive of the magnitude of a trillion dollars–”trillion” being the new “billion,” a number which itself is difficult to fully comprehend.
I think no one, taxpayer or otherwise, can conceive of the huge amounts of money taken from taxpayers and re-directed to favored causes–especially, as in the case of global warmists, when the favored cause can work the figures and help the government to justify taking even more power for themselves (while making RICH the insiders, who know where to invest because they know what rules, regulations and taxes they will impose).
