Geert Wilders Shocks the Netherlands on Election Day — Will He Get to Lead?
There is something else that could result in a working amalgam: the fact that German banks, French Banks, Italian Banks, British Banks, and possibly other banks in Europe are for all intents and purposes, insolvent. Why would the Dutch cast a blind eye towards that?
Wilders would rather see the Netherlands enter into an ad hoc amalgam with Scandinavian countries which do not cook their books (ie assign what was shelled out for assets that have been reassessed profoundly downwards).
As long as bond holders have bonds that bear a closer resemblance to the rock of Gibraltar, they will be okay, and the more bonds have that resemblance, the better. However, there are more bonds that have a closer resemblance to quicksand, and whoever holds the greatest number of them is in the worth economic shape.
