The Western media won’t snap any wet towels at Beijing for the same reason the tinker-toy anarchists of Black Bloc never show up at APEC Summits in Shanghai, where they’d get the chance to go toe-to-toe with the pointy end of a real police state. They are largely cowards with a political agenda, and from the Soviet Union to Pol Pot to Jihadism we’ve seen them pander to politically-fashionable grievance groups and ignore or excuse violence committed in the name of politically-correct causes. And when the facts on the ground don’t fit their narrative, they’ll simply make it up (Jenin, Falluja, flotilla embargo, whatever).
This is why thousands of missiles hurled indiscriminately into Israel isn’t news, but would be if Jews hurling missiles into Gaza.
