What is really surprising is that the Turks should think that there is some kind of reward at the end of the tunnel. The army dragged them out of the 7th Century in the 1920s. Whatever progress they made since then was due to Ataturk. Now they want to go back to …. nothing. My advice to the Turkish people is to: store food.
