“No, I am not that upset. And after all, Americans don’t receive money from the Israeli tax payers; the Israeli do. If some one gives you free money, don’t stab him in the back.”
They haven’t. It’s not stabbing them in the back (THAT would be aggressive sabotage with possible asassinations). It’s looking over their shoulder. Which is exactly what we do with them. And what pretty much everybody does with everybody,
“If we give Israel money, economic and military grants, conduct joint military research with the Israelis and share intelligence with them on almost every thing; why would they still need to spy on us?”
Because we DON’T share intelligence with them on CLOSE to almost every thing, and they also would like to know what the US will do if the balloon comes up again. It’s not NICE granted, but it is so unrevolutionary its pratically not worth mentioning.
My main issue with them is who they are sharing our intel with (namely the Communist Chinese), which I believe is remarkably bad shape to do (particularly considering the extreme likelyhood of military confrontation between the West and Beijing in the future), and I can only hope that we have worked out some agreement with them whereupon they only give the CCP data that is of little use to them.
