I’m glad he was aquitted. I do have issues with one thing though…the media and the prosecution keeps pointing out that one of the things he did wrong was have another marine erase pictures of dead bodies. In some of these accounts it says “photographer” and in others it just uses “Marine”. If it was just a “Marine”, telling him/ordering him to delete pictures of dead bodies would have been the right thing to do because it’s considered a violation of policy to have pictures of enemy and civilian dead unless it’s for official purposes. by having the pictures erased he would have been enforcing a standard. Which is what leaders are supposed to do.
