I think that every former and present Marine who can get to either Washington, DC or Murtha’s home office in PA should organize a drumming out ceremony. The last one I heard of was in Quantico a long time ago when your 782 gear looked a lot different, but it went something like this. The offender (Murtha) is marched out into the company street with all the Marines lined up along the street all the way to the main gate. The ranks are facing each other across the street. The offender (Murtha) is stripped of every type of medal or ensignia which even remotely represents the Corps and with the drums playing a slow dirge he is marched out the gate… as he passes in front of each of the facing Marines, they do an abrupt about face, showing their absolute disdain for him. The Marines will then never speak his name again. I will volunteer to organize if we can get a couple of platoons of active and former Marines together .
