Note directed at Javelin…. Perhaps you mis-read the article. It appears to me that based on the article, the initial civilians were killed because of an EID and the follow up battle resulted in insurgents being killed.
As for us “pro Iraq war geeks,” speaking only for myself, I would suspect that if and/or when this country finds itself behind the curve on preventing massive terrorist attacks, there will be a hue and cry as to why wasn’t more done to protect us. And, it won’t be just the geeks screeching.
For once, my enemy is likely, your enemy too.
